Verification Standards
Certified Research Vendor™ applies a structured verification framework to evaluate RUO vendors across documentation integrity, vendor presentation, fulfillment execution, customer handling, and long-term operational reliability.
How the CRV Framework Operates
CRV operates as an independent third-party verification framework focused on research-use-only vendors. The purpose of the framework is to introduce structure, traceability, and accountability to an otherwise unstandardized market. Verification is based on defined review criteria and ongoing oversight protocols rather than promotional claims made by vendors themselves.
Documentation Integrity
CRV reviews whether vendors present documentation in a serious, traceable, and consistent manner. This includes the existence, relevance, and apparent integrity of associated laboratory records such as Certificates of Analysis (COAs) tied to listed RUO products.
RUO Positioning Review
Vendors are evaluated for alignment with Research Use Only positioning. This includes review of product representation, labeling signals, website language, and the avoidance of unauthorized therapeutic or consumer-use claims that conflict with serious RUO standards.
Fulfillment Standards
CRV reviews indicators of fulfillment seriousness, including order handling consistency, shipping presentation, dispatch practices, carrier reliability, and any signals that reflect operational discipline in the vendor’s delivery process.
Customer Handling
Vendors are assessed on the seriousness and professionalism of customer-facing processes. This may include responsiveness, clarity of policies, communication tone, dispute handling, and the overall way customer concerns are addressed.
Public Trust Signals
CRV considers whether a vendor presents itself with operational transparency and traceable verification signals. This includes consistency of information, seriousness of presentation, and alignment with a public verification framework rather than unsupported self-claims.
Ongoing Monitoring
Verification is not treated as permanent. Certified vendors remain subject to continued monitoring, periodic reassessment, and review of material changes that may affect their standing, consistency, or alignment with CRV standards over time.
What CRV Reviews
CRV reviews vendor-facing signals, associated product documentation, operational consistency, RUO positioning, and broader indicators of trustworthiness within the vendor’s public and customer-facing environment.
What CRV Does Not Do
CRV does not manufacture, distribute, or sell research compounds. CRV does not provide regulatory approval, legal certification, or direct laboratory audits. Associated laboratory documents are reviewed only as supporting records tied to vendor-listed RUO products.
Trust Must Be Supported by Structure
CRV exists to introduce a disciplined, traceable, and independent verification model into a market where trust is too often claimed without consistent standards. The purpose of the framework is not to amplify vendor marketing, but to reinforce accountability through defined review criteria and ongoing oversight.
