Legal & Framework Disclosures.
These disclosures define the scope, limitations, and institutional position of the CRV independent business verification framework.
Understanding what CRV certification represents.
CRV evaluates businesses under its own published and internal criteria. Certification should be interpreted only within the specific scope communicated by CRV.
Independent Verification Framework
CRV operates as an independent third-party business verification and certification framework. CRV does not manufacture, sell, distribute, or broker the products or services offered by participating businesses and does not participate in transactions between certified businesses and third parties.
CRV evaluations are limited to the business identity, documentation, public representations, operational information, conduct signals, and category-specific evidence included within the applicable review.
No Government or Regulatory Authority
CRV is not a government agency, regulatory authority, law-enforcement body, court, licensing authority, or laboratory accreditation organization.
Certification reflects a determination under the CRV framework only. It must not be represented as government approval, legal authorization, regulatory compliance certification, professional licensure, or laboratory accreditation.
Scope of CRV Certification
Certification means that CRV reviewed the participating business under the criteria applicable at the time of evaluation and issued the standing displayed in the official CRV registry.
Certification applies to the identified business record. It does not automatically certify every product, service, location, affiliated business, employee, laboratory, supplier, or claim associated with that business.
Certification Fees & Independence
Applicants pay assessment fees for the work required to evaluate their businesses. Approved businesses also pay ongoing monitoring fees supporting registry administration, badge authorization, reassessment, and continued oversight.
Payment does not guarantee approval, a particular certification level, favorable treatment, or continued certification. CRV may deny, suspend, or revoke certification when applicable standards are not satisfied.
Documentation Review Disclaimer
CRV may review licenses, certificates, testing records, Certificates of Analysis, batch records, policies, reports, and other supporting materials supplied by an applicant or obtained from publicly available sources.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, CRV does not independently reproduce every test, audit each issuing organization, or guarantee the scientific, technical, or legal accuracy of third-party documentation.
Research Vendor & RUO Positioning
When evaluating research vendors, CRV may review Research Use Only positioning, disclaimers, product representations, Certificates of Analysis, batch documentation, packaging, and other category-relevant evidence.
CRV does not provide medical, therapeutic, veterinary, clinical, diagnostic, or product-use guidance. Nothing within the CRV framework constitutes a recommendation for human consumption, treatment, or medical use.
No Endorsement or Guarantee
CRV certification does not constitute a recommendation, endorsement, warranty, or guarantee concerning a business, product, service, transaction, laboratory, or future conduct.
Users remain responsible for their own research, risk assessment, professional advice, purchasing decisions, contractual relationships, and independent due diligence.
Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, CRV is not responsible for losses, damages, disputes, claims, or liabilities arising from transactions or interactions between certified businesses, applicants, customers, researchers, institutions, or other third parties.
Certification Status & Enforcement
CRV may review, update, suspend, revoke, expire, or otherwise modify certification standing based on reassessment, material changes, reported concerns, documentation issues, misuse of CRV credentials, failure to cooperate, or misalignment with applicable standards.
A registry status indicates CRV’s certification determination at the time of publication. Status may change when new information becomes available or corrective action is completed.
Use of CRV Branding
CRV names, marks, badges, certification levels, verification codes, seals, registry materials, and related brand assets may be used only as authorized by CRV and only while the corresponding certification remains eligible for display.
Unauthorized, altered, misleading, expired, suspended, or revoked use may result in removal of badge authorization, registry action, public record correction, or other action available to CRV.
