One Standard. Two Levels of Alignment.
Both CRV Verified and CRV A+ represent valid certification under the CRV framework. The distinction reflects the degree of documented alignment with the criteria applicable to the certified business.
Understanding each designation.
Certification levels are determined through CRV’s review framework and the category-specific criteria relevant to the applicant.
CRV Verified
Verified Core Alignment
CRV Verified indicates that the business has completed the CRV evaluation and satisfies the core requirements applicable to its certification category.
- 01 Business identity and operating presence reviewed
- 02 Required documentation evaluated
- 03 Core transparency and policy standards satisfied
- 04 Active public registry record maintained
CRV A+
Enhanced Framework Alignment
CRV A+ represents a higher degree of documented consistency across the applicable evaluation domains and enhanced criteria established for the business category.
- 01 All core CRV requirements satisfied
- 02 Enhanced documentation consistency demonstrated
- 03 Strong operational and policy alignment
- 04 Additional category-specific criteria satisfied
How the levels should be interpreted.
CRV Verified confirms satisfactory alignment with the core standard. CRV A+ confirms enhanced alignment with additional applicable criteria.
Enhanced criteria depend on the business category.
CRV A+ does not rely on one universal operational requirement. Advanced criteria are selected according to the risks, documentation, services, and operating model relevant to each category.
Enhanced criteria may include COA and batch-record consistency, RUO representation, packaging controls, fulfillment practices, and other research-vendor-specific evidence.
CRV Verified remains a complete and valid certification.
The absence of an A+ designation does not mean that a certified business is illegitimate, deficient, or noncompliant. It means the business currently holds the core CRV certification level rather than the enhanced designation.

Every valid CRV designation should correspond to a searchable record in the official public registry.
